Colors in our minds
The hues and simple structure of my paintings provide the observer with a sense of serenity.
Color modulation alters the hues and brightness of familiar objects in order to elicit feelings and associate them with emotions.
Colors, like fragrances, have a profound effect on our emotions and subconscious. Our parasympathetic nervous system (also known as Chandra-Nadi) is said to activate a variety of pleasurable triggers, relax us, and aid in the recovery from anxiety.
When certain colors and forms that could cause stress reactions are absent, our mind defaults to a calm state.
Processing vision demands a lot more mental work. To improve visual efficiency, our brains prioritize moving objects and artificial shapes like animals or houses, and then match them to known shapes. Passive items and colors are often overlooked during this process.
